Hello and Happy Holidays my Friends!


It’s the Holidays Season and Cookie Season! To kick off my Christmas Series, I am making Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies! Soft, chewy, peanut butter cookies topped with Hershey’s kisses. These will melt in your mouth when you bite into them! These will be great to make with your Kids and makes awesome gifts!!

1/2 cup butter flavor shortening
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup packed light sugar
1 egg, room temperature
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups self rising flour + 1 tsp baking soda, sifted


1/3 cup white sugar, for rolling in the dough
Hershey’s kisses


These make 24-38 cookies, you can make them any size.


Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees


In a large bowl using a hand mixer, add butter shortening and peanut butter, cream until fluffy. Next add white and brown sugar and cream again until well incorporated. Scrape the bowl occasionally. Then add in egg, vanilla, and evaporated milk to the peanut butter mixture and mix until well combined. Next add in the sifted flour and baking soda to the mixture, mix or fold it in using a spatula until well combined. Scoop cookie dough into one inch balls, roll them into the sugar then place them onto a 9x13 inch long cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven, place cookies onto a wire rack, plate, or platter and immediately add Hershey’s kisses on top. Let them cool completely and serve.
